Construction Data Control Inc. Learn more about us here.

Construction Data Control Inc. Back in 1979, two construction veterans knew there had to be a better way to manage their business. They pooled their years of experience as contractors, builders, and construction management consultants and set out to develop a computer system expressly for construction firms.

Big Builder®

CDCI’s Big Builder offers MS Access and SQL as its databases and is custom designed in three different levels: custom, semi-custom, and production-style builders.  Small, mid-sized and large builders will find a perfect fit for performance requirements and total cost.

  • CDCI offers multiple data storage and handling platforms.  The system is scalable to allow for more users and greater data storage as needed.

  • You have tight integration with MS Office.  For example, you can import your general ledger budgets, purchase orders and catalog items from Excel format.

  • Big Builder has an enhanced user interface for more improved searches by using drag and drop functions, filters that search and find as you type the first few letters, and pick lists that use the shift and control functions to select.

  •  Email or fax your purchase and work orders, trade partners’ to-do lists and draw requests.  The time-intensive process of distribution is eliminated by the trade’s default method of delivery.  One button sends the reports via fax, email or to your printer.

  • Big Builder allows you to edit terms and scope from the PO and WO screens, use defaults to set due dates, discounts and insurance expirations when creating invoices and can perform a super search when looking for a catalog item.

  • With the General Ledger module you can budget this year and next year, have multiple months open, the option for forced WIP reconciliation and a Cash Position Report.

  • Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable reconciliation reports are included in the Builder’s Series. CDCI created the industry standard for this report in 1981. Accounts Receivable also includes a Construction Loan Draw Application and Journal.

  • Approve your purchase and work orders from the field.  Your superintendent can make more money for you in the field rather than approving invoices in the office.  Big Builder tightens up the payment process by offering scheduling linked with purchasing.
