Report Create Error 21003

There are four possible causes of an Error 21003 when running a Millennium report:

1.       The Reports Manager window is opened more than once.  This is easy to do and is most likely to happen when you are printing reports to the screen.

Solution:  Close all PBM windows, exit from the program and then log back in

2.       The Crystal Reports writer does not always release the memory that it allocates for each report that it prints to the screen.

Solution:  Close all open applications, close Windows and then restart your computer.   Windows and Millennium. This will restore the space needed to print reports to the screen.

3.       The report is not listed correctly in the reports manager or the report ID is pointing to the wrong report file (.rpt).

Solution:   Check the report listing in the Reports Manager:

·         From the main menu click on Reports icon.

·         Select the module and then the report ID.

·         Click on UPDATE button.

·         In the lower right corner of the window, check to see that the Crystal report file (with a .rpt filename extension) that corresponds to the report ID you have chosen is highlighted.  If not, locate the matching file name and click on it to highlight it.

·         Click on OK and then Exit.

Note:  When adding reports, we recommend that you always make the report ID the same as the Crystal Report file name.

4.       The database is corrupted.

Solution:  Repair (select Tools > Database > Repair) and then compact (Tools > Database > Compact) the database that was in use during the report run.  For example, if you were running a Job Cost report, this would include both the company database and the Job Cost detail database, ddPMCOST.mdb that resides in the company folder.  If you were running a GL detail report, this would include the ddGLyyyy.mdb.  Always make a backup BEFORE you repair and compact a database!
