We believe that one of the major and contributing factors for the industry's successes is the widespread use of technology. Although the construction industry was not an early adopter of the digital tools, it has now moved to the forefront in implementing new computer technology.

We encourage this progress and see a time when the technology itself will be transparent to the user. This is an important part of our mission here at CDCI. We believe that the true objective of a software program is to increase the contractor's revenue, reduce costs and promote efficiency and, most of all, not get in the way.

Our industry as well as the world is on the frontier of a new way of doing business. We will be a catalyst in this process. CDCI is encouraging every contractor to:

 • Put a high speed Internet connection in the office for all to share
 • Download software updates
 • Install CDCI's virtual jobsite
 • Start the computerized estimating process
 • Communicate with customers, and the entire construction team via the Internet
 • Be Internet aware and learn more about the Internet

For our part, we will continue to develop the programs to lead the way into the uncharted frontier. We will continue working with our clients and the industry to formulate products and processes from the ideas of these groups. We are proud that we have pioneered the virtual jobsite and expect to do the same in the contractors' purchasing marketplace.

Our vision is to have small and large construction contractors successfully using digital technology without being distracted by the tools required.
