New CDCI Board Member Offers Diverse Technology
Experience
ATLANTA, GA - August 4, 2000 - Construction Data Control, Inc. (CDCI),
designer and developer of construction management
software, is pleased to announce the addition
R. P. McFarland to its Board of Directors. As CDCI completes
its twentieth year in the software industry,
the focus is to look to new avenues of technology,
as is evident in the choice of the new Board
member.
R. P. McFarland is currently the President
of Empire Telecom Services, Inc. and Vice President of its parent company,
LecStar Communications. Prior to joining this company, Mr. McFarland
served as President and majority shareholder
of Intralec, which he founded in 1999 as
a competitive local exchange provider (CLEC)
and merged with Empire in November of 1999.
Mr. McFarland also served as
Senior Vice
President, Network Operations
of ILD Telecommunications.
Before that, he acted as President
and majority
shareholder of Interlink Telecommunications,
which he founded in 1989 as an
enhanced telecommunications
services provider and merged
with ILD in
1997. Under his management, Interlink
became
a fully certified direct long
distance carrier
(IXC), a certified operator services
provider
(AOS) and a certified local exchange
(CLEC)
provider.
"I am excited about working
with CDCI,"
said McFarland, who, prior to
joining the
telecommunications field in 1989
was president
of Taskko International, a multi-family
construction
company. "Having some construction
experience
myself, I look forward to being
a part of
the incorporation of today's
new technology
into the industry."
"Mr. McFarland brings knowledge
in high
tech industries. Telephones are
closely allied
to computer systems and software,"
remarks
John Geoffroy, President of CDCI.
"As
an entrepreneur of over eleven
years he is
able to provide CDCI a broad
perspective.
Mr. McFarland has significant
experience
in corporate finance, mergers
and acquisitions.
He offers a wealth of experiences
and we
can learn from his success." |
