Job Cost
The Job Cost module enables you to track
and project costs versus budgets, so you
can maintain your profit margin. The module's
unique variance control feature records any
variances that occur during purchase and
invoice time. By monitoring actual expenditures,
you are able to detect cost to complete projection
overruns early, allowing you to take corrective
action.
Key Job Cost Features
- Change order tracking is built in. System
records change order budgets
and cost activity.
Report options available to analyze
change
order costs
- Job can be tagged for easy organization and
access. This feature also enables
you to
restrict access to job information
- You can easily add fields to store job information
such as certificate of occupancy
or EPD approval
numbers. These fields are available
when
customizing reports
- The job information area stores information
that other Millennium modules
use to smart-fill
fields in AP invoices, timecards
and customer
billings
- Detail cost list shows individual invoice
charge and can be filtered
by date or by
cost code
- Easily create a new job
- Clone an existing job with the option of
copying budgets or supply factor
- Import estimate from CDCI's Bid Team or BasicEst
- Create a job from scratch or modify a template
based on the NAHB standard
categories
- Evaluate the profitability of a job or categories
online. The budgets feature
gives you a summary
and lets you drill down to
more detail that
includes percent complete
by cost type (labor,
material, sub, etc.)
- Unlimited number of cost types
- View a complete list of PO's and subcontracts
related to a particular job
- Projected completion costs can be updated
based on field inspection of
either cost
to complete or percent complete
- Job cost transfer allows you to move job
cost burden from one job, or
area of job,
to another, without any tedious
voiding or
journal entries
- Flexibility in reporting gives you reports
by job, cost code and/or cost
type at any
level of detail required
- Job Cost query allows you to create a customized
spreadsheet on the fly by defining columns
and their contents (cost, billings, hours,
etc.)
