Copying a Job Template from one company to another in Basic Builder

 

Start by entering the company in BB that has the job(s) you want to copy.  Then do the following: 

 

·         Go to Modules => Housekeeping => Archive Jobs and select Create a New Archive. This will bring up a dialog box where you can specify the folder and filename for the archive.  Within the folder of your choosing, enter a new file name with a .mdb extension and click Open.

 

·         At this point, Basic Builder will tell you that, “File does not exist, do you wish to create it?”  When you answer, “YES”, another box will come up that has all this company’s current jobs listed.   Place your cursor on the job template or job file(s) that you want to copy to the other company and click ADD.  Next, click on OK and it will copy the job(s) to the new archive file you specified above. 

 

·         When it says, “Process complete, OK?,”  click OK and exit this company. Enter the company into which you wish to copy the new Job template. 

 

·         Go to Modules => Housekeeping => Jobs From Archive and select the .mdb file from the list that is displayed.  Click Open to bring up a box that allows you can select the job(s) you want to copy into this company.  Next, click on ADD and then on OK to copy the job(s).

 

·         Click OK again to confirm and you are done.
